Hohe Mut, Mountain summit in Sölden, Austria

Hohe Mut is a mountain summit in the Ötztal region standing at about 2650 meters. The peak features distinctive rock formations and alpine meadows that characterize the eastern Ötztal Alps.

The first chairlift on Hohe Mut's north side was built in 1953, opening the slope above Obergurgl to skiing. Today an 8-seat gondola, the Hohe-Mut-Bahn, runs in two sections to just below the summit at 2653 m. The peak is the northernmost of the ridge between the Gaisbergtal and Rotmoostal valleys.
