House-Museum of Uzeyir Hajibeyov

The House-Museum of Uzeyir Hajibeyov occupies a 19th-century building divided into four exhibition rooms with personal objects, original manuscripts, and photographs spanning the composer's life. The spaces are arranged to follow his creative journey and professional achievements.

The museum was founded in 1959 following official approval by the Council of Ministers of Azerbaijan SSR. Conflict forced its closure and relocation to Baku in the early 1990s, but the collection eventually returned to the restored original building.

The museum displays how Hajibeyov merged musical traditions of the Caucasus with European forms, creating a new artistic language. Visitors can see how his compositions remain integral to local concerts and cultural performances today.
