Franciscan friary and church of St John the Baptist, Kraljeva Sutjeska

The religious complex includes a Renaissance Revival church, an exhibition space displaying religious artifacts, and extensive archives documenting regional history.

Founded in 1301, the monastery survived numerous conflicts and reconstructions while maintaining its position as a center of religious life for over seven centuries.

The monastery library contains 11,000 works, including 31 incunabula, old parish registers from 1641, and documents written in Bosnian Cyrillic script.

Visitors need to arrange guided tours in advance by contacting the monastery administration through telephone numbers 032 771 711 or 032 771 714.

The museum collection features thirty ancient paintings, historical chalices, and silver candelabras created in 1802 by Bishop Fra Grgo Ilic.
