Mile, Archaeological site in Arnautovići, Bosnia and Herzegovina
The archaeological site contains the remains of Saint Nicholas Church, surrounded by numerous medieval tombs and monastery foundations near Visoko.
During the 14th and 15th centuries, Mile served as the official coronation and burial location for the medieval kings of Bosnia.
The architectural elements and burial practices found at Mile demonstrate the religious and ceremonial traditions of medieval Bosnian royalty.
The site maintains protected status as a National Monument, with access managed through local authorities in the Visoko municipality.
Archaeological excavations at Mile uncovered over one hundred medieval tombs, including royal burial chambers within the church complex.
