Description
The Walled Town of Vidoški is a fortified settlement built on a steep hillside with limestone blocks, overlooking the Bregava River Valley. Multiple defensive structures spread across the terrain, displaying construction methods from different periods and builders.
History
The settlement first appears in written records from 1375 under the control of regional lord Herzeg Stefan Vukčić Kosača. Ottoman forces captured it in 1471, marking a major shift in its history and use.
