Herzegovina-Neretva Canton is an administrative region in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina that spans multiple municipalities. The Neretva River flows through the canton toward the Adriatic Sea.
The canton was established on December 23, 1996, following the Washington Agreement of 1994 that reorganized Bosnia and Herzegovina after regional conflict. This administrative structure emerged as part of the peace settlement.
