Vertigo

Vertigo was a suspended roller coaster at Walibi Belgium in Wavre, where individual cars hung from an overhead rail system. The ride took visitors through twists and turns while suspended freely beneath the track structure.

This ride opened on June 14, 2007, at Walibi Belgium but encountered persistent technical problems from the start. It closed permanently less than a year later in May 2008.

Belgian action star Jean-Claude Van Damme participated in the May 2008 reopening ceremony of the roller coaster at Walibi Belgium.

The ride accommodated multiple trains running simultaneously, with seating arranged in rows throughout each train. The design allowed the park to move a significant number of visitors through the attraction during peak times.

The ride used a vertical elevator lift that hoisted riders to the top before releasing them onto the track at high speed. This launching method was different from the typical chain lift found on most suspended coasters of that era.
