Museum of Fine Arts Ghent

The Museum of Fine Arts Ghent is a Neoclassical building in Citadelpark with bright, spacious galleries and high ceilings throughout its exhibition spaces. The collection spans from medieval to modern times, filling roughly thirty rooms with artworks.

The museum was founded in 1798 during French rule and initially displayed artworks in Saint Peter's Church. In 1904 it moved to its current building and became the region's major art collection.
