Covered Bridge

The bridge spans 106 meters across the Osam River, connecting the old district of Varosha with the modern part of Lovech.

Master builder Kolyu Ficheto completed the original wooden structure in 1874, with local residents contributing labor and funds for its construction.

The bridge incorporates fourteen shops where merchants sell traditional Bulgarian crafts, jewelry, and local products to visitors crossing the structure.

Visitors can reach the bridge by following signs from the town center, with free access available during daylight hours throughout the year.

Four decorative elements adorned the initial structure: a lion sculpture, a two-headed eagle, a female figure, and an Ottoman mace.
