Constructed between 1863 and 1866, the railway station building served as a vital connection point for travel between London and Istanbul through the Rousse-Varna line.
The museum collection contains royal carriages belonging to King Ferdinand I and King Boris III of Bulgaria, representing the nation's transportation heritage.
Located at 5 Bratya Obretenovi Street in Ruse, the museum displays ten steam engines, with the oldest dating from 1868, alongside various railroad artifacts.
The museum building, constructed with local white limestone, houses specialized mail transport interiors and transportation equipment that appeared in multiple Bulgarian films.
