Le V, Residential and hotel skyscraper in Montreal, Quebec
Le V is a modern high-rise in downtown Montreal that combines a Courtyard by Marriott hotel occupying the first 12 floors with 212 rooms and residential apartments on the upper 28 floors with 240 units. The building stands 40 stories tall with a sleek glass and metal exterior positioned on René Lévesque Boulevard West between Bleury and Anderson Streets.
Construction of Le V began in 2011 and took approximately three years to complete, with the hotel opening in 2013 and the apartments in 2014. The building was designed by architect Brian Elsden Burrows as part of Montreal's downtown development.
The building is located on René Lévesque Boulevard West with easy access to public transportation and numerous shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues nearby. Hotel guests find a bright and welcoming lobby with helpful staff available to assist with directions and local recommendations.
The building unusually combines two completely different functions in a single structure, serving both short-term hotel guests and permanent residents under one roof. This dual-use approach as both commercial and residential space makes it a rare example of mixed-use architecture in the downtown core.
