Constructed between 1931 and 1933, the church underwent modifications in 1949 when its Gothic Revival bell tower was removed due to structural concerns from mine explosions.

Located at 2851 Masson Street, the church office operates Monday through Thursday, with morning and afternoon hours for administrative services.
The interior houses a Casavant Frères organ and Art Deco lamps, complemented by stained glass windows created by artist Guido Nincheri.
