Description
Heaslip House on Victoria Street is an educational building with a notable art-deco facade. The stone carvings on the outside were created by sculptor Frances Loring and give the structure its distinctive appearance.
History
The building was constructed on the site of the former O'Keefe House, which once served as headquarters for Canadian Breweries Limited. Later, radio station workers used the space before it was converted into an educational facility.
Culture
The building serves as home to a continuing education school where adult learners take courses in a variety of fields. People of different ages use the space to develop new skills and advance their careers.
