Naval Museum of Halifax, Naval history museum in Halifax, Canada
The Naval Museum of Halifax exhibits uniforms, medals, photographs, and documents across three levels within the historic Admiralty House building.
The museum occupies Admiralty House, constructed between 1814 and 1818, which served as the residence for 36 admirals of the North American Station.
The collection includes the original bell from HMCS Niobe, the first flagship of the Royal Canadian Navy, along with numerous ship bells and maritime artifacts.
The museum operates Monday through Friday, remains closed on weekends and holidays, and accepts visits through donations rather than fixed admission fees.
The Royal Navy Burying Ground contains markers for sailors from the 1813 battle between USS Chesapeake and HMS Shannon during the War of 1812.
