Cactus modulaire, Bronze sculpture in Downtown Montreal, Canada
The Cactus modulaire stands 10 meters tall and 3 meters wide, constructed from a bronze and beryllium alloy weighing 6,500 kilograms.
Created in 1986 by Robert Roussil, the sculpture was cast at the Lafeuille foundry in Nogent-sur-Oise, France before its installation in Montreal.
The sculpture represents the integration of public art in Montreal's urban landscape, placed near the La Laurentienne Building on Peel Street.
Visitors can view this permanent outdoor installation throughout the year at the coordinates 45°29′53″N 73°34′11″W in downtown Montreal.
The sculpture belongs to Oxford Real Estate Group and Desjardins Financial Security Life Assurance Company, marking a collaboration between corporate entities and public art.
