Cactus modulaire

Cactus modulaire is a large bronze sculpture located in downtown Montreal on Peel Street next to a prominent office building. The artwork features a distinctive geometric form and remains visible as a permanent outdoor installation throughout the year.

The artwork was created in 1986 by artist Robert Roussil and cast at a foundry in France. It was subsequently transported to Montreal, where it has occupied its place in the cityscape since then.

The sculpture occupies a prominent spot in the downtown core where it becomes part of daily street life for commuters and visitors. It shows how public artworks shape urban spaces and encourage people to notice their surroundings.
