Roccabella, Residential skyscraper in downtown Montreal, Canada
Roccabella is a residential complex in downtown Montreal comprised of two 40-story towers containing 552 condominium units in total. Both towers rise approximately 147 meters and sit near the Bell Centre, forming a prominent part of the local skyline.
Construction of the first tower began in 2013 and wrapped up in 2016, with the second tower development following shortly after. This phased approach expanded residential options in downtown Montreal during the mid-2010s.
The Roccabella development represents modern residential architecture in Montreal through its twin-tower design by Béïque Legault Thuot Architectes.
The building includes five underground levels of parking and is located at 1300 René Lévesque Boulevard West. Note that this is a residential building, so public access is limited to common areas near the street level.
Multiple specialized firms collaborated on the project, with different companies handling architectural design, structural engineering, and building systems. This division of expertise brought together various technical disciplines to create the final structure.
