Schilthorn, Mountain summit in Bernese Alps, Switzerland
The Schilthorn peak rises to 2,970 meters above sea level, offering views of the Eiger, Mönch, Jungfrau, and Mont Blanc mountains.
The construction of Piz Gloria restaurant at the summit was completed in 1969 through a partnership with film producers for James Bond movie filming.
The annual Inferno ski race, initiated in 1928, extends from the Schilthorn summit through a lengthy downhill course in the Bernese Alps.
Visitors reach the summit via a sequence of cable cars starting in Stechelberg, connecting through Gimmelwald, Mürren, and Birg stations.
The Piz Gloria restaurant completes a full rotation every 45 minutes, allowing diners to view the surrounding Alpine peaks during their meal.
