Stieregghütte is a wooden mountain refuge in the Bernese Alps, situated at 1650 meters elevation, that provides shelter and meals to hikers exploring the region. The structure contains dormitory-style sleeping areas and dining facilities for visitors passing through on alpine trails.
The original refuge was founded in 1823 as one of the earliest alpine lodges in Switzerland, while the current building dates from 1958. This evolution reflects how the region became an increasingly popular destination for mountain trekking.
