Pfyffe

Pfyffe is a mountain in the Gantrisch region situated between Guggisberg and Rüschegg at 1,666 meters elevation. The terrain is densely forested and crisscrossed by numerous hiking trails that offer different routes across its slopes.

Trail networks around Pfyffe were developed in the 20th century, establishing the summit as a key recreation area in the Bernese foothills. This systematic infrastructure expansion greatly supported the region's mountain access and activity options.

The summit serves as a meeting point for local mountaineering clubs who organize regular group expeditions through the Gantrisch Nature Park territory.

Several marked paths ascend to the summit from Ottenleuebad resort, with the Panoramaweg providing the most direct route along well-maintained mountain trails. The paths are generally accessible, and hikers should wear sturdy footwear and dress appropriately for mountain weather conditions.

The peak ranks as the twenty-fourth highest mountain among 201 elevations in the Verwaltungskreis Bern-Mittelland region, with Schüpfeflue as its nearest higher neighbor.
