St. Niklaus parish church

The church building features a medieval tower reaching 36.8 meters in height and stands at an elevation of 1,120.9 meters in the Valais canton.

The current structure, consecrated in 1965, incorporates the original church tower from 1650, which survived an avalanche in 1720 and required reconstruction.

The parish church contains six bells cast between 1767 and 1948, which were later electrified in 1958 to maintain the traditional sound patterns.

Located on Dorfstrasse in postal code 3924, the church serves as a central gathering point for religious services in the Visp district.

During winter celebrations, the church displays a 36.5-meter-high figure of Saint Nicholas from December 6 until January 6.
