Klimsenhorn Chapel on Mount Pilatus

The Klimsenhorn Chapel stands at 1864 meters above sea level on Mount Pilatus, featuring pillars and ridge turrets characteristic of Gothic mendicant churches.

Built between 1856 and 1860 by Kaspar Blättler as part of Hotel Klimsenhorn, the chapel remained after the hotel's demolition in 1967.

The chapel holds class B Swiss cultural property status since 2002, reflecting its regional significance within the canton of Nidwalden's architectural heritage.

Visitors can access the chapel through hiking trails or gondola rides, with optimal visiting conditions during spring and summer months.
