Fräkmüntegg is a mountain station in Nidwalden connected to Kriens by cable car, characterized by a terraced area with sun loungers, kiosks, and barbecue spaces. Various hiking trails depart from here toward different viewpoints overlooking Lake Lucerne and the surrounding mountains.

Development of this mountain station began with the construction of the cable car linking the valley to the elevated site. Since then it has grown into a year-round recreation destination with visitor infrastructure.

Visitors come here to dine at the self-service restaurant while enjoying views across the surrounding mountain landscape and the lake below. The food offerings reflect regional tastes and traditions, making meals here part of the local experience.

The station is accessible during daylight hours in the main season and offers sun loungers on a terrace plus several dining options. Keep in mind that conditions at elevation are cooler, so appropriate clothing is advisable.

This location features a 1,350-meter (4,430-foot) summer toboggan run with special features including sharp curves, dragon holes, and two integrated jump sections. This run makes a visit here memorable even in warmer months for families.
