Jinci Temple, Temple complex in Taiyuan, China

The Jinci Temple contains 98 buildings, 110 statues, and 300 tablet inscriptions spread across a site at the foot of Xuanweng Mountain.

Founded 1400 years ago, the temple honors Tang Shuyu, who established the Jin State between 1033 BC and 376 BC as its first ruler.

The Hall of the Holy Mother, built from 1023 to 1032, displays 43 colored clay sculptures depicting daily activities from the Song Dynasty period.

The temple entrance costs 80 CNY from April to October and 65 CNY from November to March, with recommended visiting time of three hours.

The Flying Bridge Across Fish Ponds represents an early Chinese architectural innovation, featuring a design that spans multiple water features.
