Wushan Yangtze River Bridge

The Wushan Yangtze River Bridge extends 616 meters across the Yangtze River with its main steel arch spanning 460 meters at a height of 130 meters.

The construction of this infrastructure project began in 2001 and concluded in 2005, with a total investment of 160 million yuan for its completion.

The bridge stands as an engineering achievement in the Yangtze River region, demonstrating China's infrastructure development near the Three Gorges Dam area.

The structure carries the S301 Provincial Road, connecting different sections of Wushan County while providing a crossing point for vehicles over the Yangtze River.

The rising water levels from the Three Gorges Dam reservoir have reduced the visibility of the bridge's original 180-meter clearance above the water surface.
