Zhijinghe River Bridge

The Zhijinghe River Bridge extends 546 meters across the river valley with a central arch span measuring 430 meters in length.

The completion of the Zhijinghe River Bridge in November 2009 marked a milestone in Chinese bridge engineering with its record-setting height of 294 meters.

The bridge connects different communities within the Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, supporting local transportation and economic development.

This steel structure carries the G50 Shanghai-Chongqing Expressway, linking major urban centers and facilitating commerce between eastern and western China.

Engineers implemented an innovative construction method using eight large steel tubes beneath the arch, which were later filled with concrete for enhanced stability.
