Tregunter Towers, Residential skyscraper in The Peak, Hong Kong.
Tregunter Towers is a residential complex in The Peak area of Hong Kong, made up of three tall towers. Tower 3 is the tallest of the three, rising to 66 floors.
Tower 3 was completed in 1993 and was at that time the tallest residential building in the world. It held that title until 2001, when Trump World Tower in New York surpassed it.
Tregunter Towers sits in The Peak, a neighborhood long associated with wealth and status in Hong Kong. Living here has carried a certain social weight for decades, making the address one of the most sought after on the island.
The complex is on a hillside and is most easily reached by the shuttle bus that runs directly to central parts of the city. Those arriving on foot should be prepared for steep paths leading up to the site.
The top floor of Tower 3 sits at around 327 meters above sea level, even though the building itself is shorter than that figure suggests. The difference comes from the elevation of The Peak itself, which already sits high above the city before the towers begin.
