Yichang Yangtze River Railway Bridge, bridge in People's Republic of China
The Yichang Yangtze River Railway Bridge is a large arch bridge that crosses the Yangtze River in Yichang, connecting the districts on either side. It stretches about 2500 meters and features two main spans of 275 meters each, allowing river traffic to pass underneath with 52 meters of clearance from the water.
Construction began in December 2002 and was completed in 2008. The bridge was built to serve the railway line connecting Yichang and Wanzhou, improving trade and travel across the region.
Visitors can view the bridge from nearby riverside parks and see river traffic passing below. Being located in Wujiagang District, it is accessible from the central parts of the city.
