Dido Bank is a mudflat in Xisha District with shallow waters and marine sediments. The submerged formation rises slightly from the seafloor, creating areas where the water becomes very shallow at certain times.
The area became part of Xisha District when it was officially established in April 2020. This new administrative structure reorganized control and management of maritime territories in the region.
Maritime activities shape the daily life of local communities, with fishing operations constituting the main source of sustenance for residents in the Xisha District.
Access comes only by sea, as there are no land connections and entry is restricted. Visitors should know that the waters are shallow and navigation requires careful attention.
