Ho Man Tin station, MTR underground station in Kowloon City District, Hong Kong.
Ho Man Tin station is an underground metro station in the Kowloon City District of Hong Kong, built into the hillside beneath Valley Road across eight levels, with four tracks and two separate platform levels. It serves two metro lines and has several exits opening toward Yan Fung Street, Fat Kwong Street, Ho Man Tin Estate, and Hong Kong Metropolitan University.
The lower platforms opened in October 2016 as part of an extension of the Kwun Tong line. The upper platforms, serving the Tuen Ma line, followed in June 2021 after years of additional construction work in the same hillside.
The station displays a piece of public art called 'Between Nature and the City', which features a cat named Ai Cow from a nearby Chinese medicine shop. This detail connects the transit space to a real story from the local street life around Ho Man Tin.
The station has several exits pointing in different directions, so it is worth checking which one leads to your destination before you leave the train. Signage inside is clear and the layout is straightforward, making it easy to find your way even on a first visit.
During some peak hours, certain westbound Kwun Tong line trains end their journey at platform 2 and then start again from platform 1 by using a reversing siding. Passengers waiting on platform 1 at those times may notice a train arriving and turning around before departing again.
