The headquarters building exhibits traditional Chinese architectural elements with a central courtyard surrounded by multiple ceremonial and administrative chambers.
During the Panthay Rebellion in the 19th century, General Du Wenxiu established this location as his command center against the Qing Dynasty forces.
The site displays numerous artifacts from both Han and Hui communities, reflecting the multicultural composition of Yunnan Province during the rebellion period.
The headquarters opens daily from 9 AM to 5 PM, with guided tours available in Mandarin and English providing detailed information about the rebellion.
The building contains the first printing press used to produce copies of the Quran in China, marking a significant development in Chinese Islamic literature.
