Zhuhai Fishing Girl, Coastal sculpture in Xianglu Bay, China.
The granite statue measures 8.7 meters high and consists of 70 pieces, depicting a fisher girl raising a pearl toward the sky.
Professor Pan He from Guangzhou Art College created this monument in 1982 as Zhuhai prepared to become a Special Economic Zone.
The statue draws from a regional tale about a Dragon King's daughter who transformed into a fisher girl and fell in love with a mortal.
Visitors can reach the statue by taking bus routes 9 or 99, with free admission and open access throughout the day.
The statue stands on a rock formation in Xianglu Bay, offering views of Macau's skyline across the water.
