Minyue State's Imperial City

The remains of Minyue State's Imperial City contain large stone walls, residential structures, and ceremonial buildings spread across multiple excavation areas.

Founded in the 3rd century BC, the imperial city served as the administrative center of Minyue State until its incorporation into the Han Dynasty in 110 BC.

Excavations at the site revealed bronze tools, pottery fragments, and ceremonial items that indicate advanced craftsmanship and established trade networks in ancient China.

The archaeological site maintains regular opening hours from 9 AM to 5 PM, with guided tours available in Chinese and English through the visitor center.

A massive stone altar discovered within the city ruins suggests the presence of complex religious ceremonies involving multiple participants and ritual offerings.
