Junction Road Park, Urban park in Kowloon, Hong Kong.
Junction Road Park is an urban park in Kowloon, Hong Kong, running along Junction Road between the Kowloon Tong and Lok Fu neighborhoods. It offers walking paths, play areas, and open grass sections set within a densely built residential district.
The park was established during the rapid urban growth of Kowloon in the 1960s, when Hong Kong authorities began setting aside green space within new residential areas. Junction Road itself was developed during this period as a key link between expanding neighborhoods.
The park sits on the boundary between two very different neighborhoods: the quieter Kowloon Tong to the north and the denser Lok Fu to the south. Walking through it, you can sense this transition, as the buildings and street life shift noticeably from one side to the other.
The park is within walking distance of several bus stops and the Lok Fu MTR station, making it easy to reach. The main entrance is on Junction Road, and the paths inside are flat and easy to walk.
The park runs in a narrow, elongated strip parallel to the road, giving it more the shape of a green corridor than a typical park square. This linear form means visitors tend to walk through it from one end to the other rather than circling around a central space.
