Puzhuangsuo Castle, National heritage castle in Cangnan County, China
The stone fortification displays defensive walls and ancient architectural elements characteristic of military structures from the Ming Dynasty period in eastern China.
Built over 630 years ago, Puzhuangsuo Castle received national protection status in 1996 as the 139th cultural site on China's fourth major preservation list.
The castle grounds maintain a collection of local nursery rhymes that reflect the traditions and daily life of generations of Cangnan County residents.
Visitors can reach the castle through Cangnan County's transportation network, which connects to major highways and railway lines in Zhejiang Province.
The fortress stands among 252 kilometers of coastline, positioning it as part of a regional network of historical defensive structures in eastern Zhejiang Province.
