Wuyanling National Nature Reserve, Nature reserve in Taishun County, China
The reserve contains 17 mountain peaks over 1000 meters high, with Baiyun Peak reaching an elevation of 1611 meters above sea level.
The reserve, established in 1975, earned its name from the black rock formations near the streams and spans 190 square kilometers of protected land.
The protected area functions as a national biological repository, preserving 2150 plant species and 342 varieties of native reptiles, birds, and mammals.
Two daily buses depart from Luoyang to the reserve at 6:00 and 12:00, with entrance fees of 60 yuan for adults and 30 yuan for children.
Scientists discovered a new freshwater goby species in the reserve's waters, naming it Rhinogobius wuyanlingensis after this specific location.
