Baishuiyang, Natural geopark in Shuangxi Town, China.

Baishuiyang is a natural riverbed in a geological park featuring multiple shallow pools where water flows continuously over smooth stone surfaces. The exposed granite and lava rock create a flat, uniform landscape that stretches across a significant area.

The riverbed formed over geological time through tectonic activity and granite intrusions that shaped the current water flow patterns. These natural processes unfolded across thousands of years to create the landscape visible today.

The name comes from the milky white appearance of water flowing over smooth rock. People use this place as a natural swimming and wading area, gathering in the shallow pools during warmer months.

The water remains shallow year-round, making it safe to wade through the riverbed on foot. Sturdy footwear is recommended since granite surfaces can be slippery when wet.

The entire surface is a single continuous rock slab without pebbles or scattered stones, a feature that continues to puzzle geological researchers. This rare natural phenomenon appears in only a handful of locations worldwide.
