Cheung On Estate

Cheung On Estate is a public housing complex with ten residential buildings on Tsing Yi Island, containing approximately 7,300 apartments for around 21,000 residents. The site sits near Tsing Yi Northeast Park, combining residential spaces with access to green areas nearby.

The complex was built between 1987 and 1989 on reclaimed land, creating homes for thousands of families on what had previously been seabed. In 1998, residents were given the opportunity to purchase their rental units, allowing many to become homeowners.
