Tsing Yi Public Library

Tsing Yi Public Library is located on the first floor of the Municipal Services Building at 38 Tsing Luk Street on Tsing Yi Island and provides reading and study areas for different age groups. The space includes computer stations, multimedia collections, and separate sections designed to serve children, adults, and students with varied learning needs.

The library opened in 1986 at Cheung Hong Estate and relocated to the Municipal Services Building in 2000 to serve the expanding population on the island. This move allowed the facility to reach more people in the growing community.

The library functions as a community gathering space where people of all ages come to study, read, and access information together. Different sections serve children, adults, and students, creating a place where various groups naturally coexist and share the same resources.

The library is easily reached through Exit B of Tsing Yi MTR Station and provides comfortable study and reading facilities for visitors. Operating hours vary between weekdays and weekends, so checking ahead helps plan your visit appropriately.

A mobile library service extends book and resource access to remote areas of the island such as Cheung Ching and Cheung Fat, where a regular library visit may be inconvenient. This traveling service ensures that residents in harder-to-reach neighborhoods still have access to reading materials and services.
