Tsing Yi Nature Trail, Weg in der Volksrepublik China
Tsing Yi Nature Trail is a walking path crossing the hills of Tsing Yi Island with about four kilometers of connected routes and several branches. The trail climbs via stairs and paved sections to a peak at 142 meters, with pavilions and rest areas placed along the way.
The trails were built starting in 1997 and completed the following year. They were developed as part of recreation infrastructure for the growing community on the island.
The trail reveals how residents balance daily life between nature and industry on the island. You will see people practicing tai chi, playing games, and walking in open areas along the route.
From Tsing Yi MTR Station, take a bus to Cheung Wang Estate and walk up Liu To Road to reach the north entrance. The coolest time to visit is late autumn through early spring, and bring water and sun protection even on partly shaded sections.
On clear days, visitors can spot Hong Kong International Airport from the hilltops, as the path sits beneath the landing approach for aircraft. Flowering plants like Bougainvillea and Trailing Lantana bloom along the route and add color to the walk.
