Zhaoling Mausoleum, Imperial mausoleum in Changping District, Beijing, China.

The Zhaoling Mausoleum structure extends across 34,000 square meters with stone statues of mythical creatures guarding the sacred entrance pathway.

Built between 1573 and 1980, this tomb houses the remains of the Longqing Emperor who ruled the Ming dynasty from 1566 to 1572.

The mausoleum follows traditional Chinese architectural principles with a central geometric axis connecting the stele pavilion, Ling'en Gate, and Ling'en Hall.

The mausoleum remains open to visitors as one of three accessible tombs within the Ming dynasty complex near Beijing.

This mausoleum preserves its original auxiliary buildings, including the sacred kitchen and storeroom, setting it apart from other Ming tombs.
