Wonderland Amusement Park, Abandoned amusement park site in Nankou, China
Wonderland Amusement Park is a former amusement park site in Nankou, China, where construction was never finished and the grounds have been cleared. The location now hosts the Badaling Outlets shopping mall, which opened in 2015 on the same land.
Construction began in the 1990s under the direction of Thailand's Reignwood Group but halted in 1998 due to financial disagreements. The incomplete structures were demolished entirely in May 2013.
The abandoned park grounds transformed into agricultural fields as local farmers returned to traditional land use patterns.
The site is no longer accessible as the shopping center has replaced the entire area. Visitors today will only find the modern outlet mall with no remaining traces of the earlier project.
During the years of abandonment, parking attendants continued to watch over the empty grounds and manage vehicles for curious onlookers. Some nearby residents used the vacant fields temporarily to grow vegetables and grain.
