The construction of this monumental statue began in the late 1980s and reached completion in 2006, marking a new chapter for Mount Emei Buddhist heritage.

The statue represents Samantabhadra, a central figure in Mahayana Buddhism who embodies wisdom and universal enlightenment through Buddhist teachings and practices.

Visitors can reach the statue through established hiking paths on Mount Emei, with dedicated areas for prayers and offerings at the temple base.

The bronze statue received a gold coating treatment, creating a metallic surface that reflects sunlight across the mountain peaks of the sacred Buddhist site.
