Rödelheim is a residential neighborhood in western Frankfurt that sits between the Nidda and Westerbach rivers, divided into eastern and western sections. Throughout the area, parks and green spaces create an open and natural setting.
The area was first recorded in 788 as Radilenheim in the Lorsch Codex, named after a farmer called Radilo who cleared woodland. This early documentation shows how settlement here began with forest clearance and farming.
The Brentanopark shapes daily life here with its open spaces where residents walk and gather regularly. The park shows how the Brentano family valued green spaces and created places where people could enjoy nature together.
