The Fernmeldeturm Münster is a concrete television tower that rises 229.5 meters and features a basket-shaped structure with a diameter of 40 meters positioned at 108 meters above ground. The tower houses equipment for television, radio, and mobile phone signal distribution across the region.

The tower was built in 1985/86 by the construction firm Oevermann in reinforced concrete, as a copy of the Kiel telecommunication tower completed in 1975. In April and May 2007 a load helicopter placed a new antenna on the top, raising the height from 222.5 to 229.5 metres. Digital television has been broadcast from here since 12 June 2007, and DVB-T2 HD since 25 April 2018.

Locals call the tower the "Fernsehturm", and its internal designation is Münster 42. Since 12 June 2007 it has broadcast digital television, and since 25 April 2018 in DVB-T2 HD with Freenet TV's private channels. It also carries the amateur radio relays DBØHH and DBØOVM of the VFDB-Z14 association.

The tower stands on private grounds and is not open to visitors; there is no viewing platform or public entrance. It can be seen from across Münster, with the antenna tip at 229.5 m above ground. The upper half was re-concreted in summer 2018, so the top now looks lighter than the shaft below.

The tower is a copy of the Kiel telecommunication tower completed in 1975, and its 40-metre-wide basket is known internally as "Münster 42". In summer 2018 the upper half was given new concrete, so the top now looks lighter than the rest of the shaft.
