Tower 185, Commercial skyscraper in Gallus district, Frankfurt, Germany
The 200-meter-tall glass structure features 55 floors above ground, with a horseshoe-shaped base covered in natural stone and aluminum facade elements.
Construction of Tower 185 began in 2008, and the building, initially planned for 185 meters with 50 floors, opened in December 2011 with additional levels.
The building represents modern German office architecture through its combination of functional design elements and environmental certifications including LEED Gold standard.
Ten elevators serve the building's 100,500 square meters of floor space, with PricewaterhouseCoopers occupying 60,000 square meters as the primary tenant.
The structure transforms its energy consumption through green remote heating, with 42 percent of power coming from carbon-neutral sources.
