Bläsibad, Historical estate in Tübingen, Germany.
Bläsibad is a historical estate in Tübingen located near the Steinlachwasen roundabout. The property sits where the Ehrenbach stream flows into the Steinlach river and marks a significant point along Federal Road 27.
The estate operated as a healing bath facility beginning in the second half of the 15th century. This use ended in 1831 when the original bathhouse was destroyed by fire.
The chapel on the estate was dedicated to Saint Blasius, revered as the protector of animals. Botanist Leonhart Fuchs praised the healing powers of the water and recommended it for various ailments.
The area is easy to reach today as it sits at a well-known road junction. Visitors should be aware that the site is mainly visible from the outside and some areas may not be publicly accessible.
According to legend, a shepherd discovered the spring's healing powers after his sheep recovered from drinking its water. This observation led to the creation of the bath facility, which later became known throughout the region.
