Sudhaus

Sudhaus is a cultural center in Tübingen housed in a converted industrial building designed to host many types of events. The venue contains several distinct spaces, each fitted to handle different kinds of gatherings and performances.

The building started as a brewery called Waldhörnle and was later converted into a furniture factory. In 1988 it transformed into a cultural center where it continues to serve artistic and social purposes.

The building retains traces of its brewing heritage in its industrial architecture, which visitors encounter as they move through the spaces. This connection to craft production shapes how the center feels today and influences the creative work that happens within its walls.

The location is easy to reach and provides parking nearby for visitors. During summer months the outdoor area becomes available with a beer garden setup, creating a relaxed space for people to enjoy between or after events.

Besides performance and event spaces, the site houses artist studios, small businesses and a local radio station all in the same building. This mixed-use arrangement makes it a living workspace where creative people work daily rather than just a venue for occasional events.
