Burg Schlosseck

Burg Schlosseck is a medieval castle on a ridge near Bad Durkheim, situated at about 300 meters in elevation. The position offers wide views across the Isenach valley and surrounding landscape.

The castle arose in the 9th century as a defense against Norman raids and was later expanded by the Counts of Leiningen in the 13th century. This enlargement made it one of the region's more significant fortifications.
