The Metronom Theater is a musical theater in Neue Mitte Oberhausen with roughly 1,830 seats spread across orchestra and balcony levels. The venue is modern in design and offers good sight lines to the stage from nearly all seating positions.
The theater was built between 1998 and 1999 and opened as TheatrO CentrO with Peter Maffay's production of Tabaluga & Lilli. It later became an important venue for bringing cultural entertainment to the Neue Mitte district.
