Ehemaliges Schloss Bodman, Former castle ruins in Bodman-Ludwigshafen, Germany
The former Bodman Castle stood on elevated ground near the church, offering views across the surrounding landscape of Lake Constance.
Built between 1701 and 1702, the castle served as a residence for noble families until its complete demolition in 1873.
The castle belonged to the institutional position of nobles and ministerials, representing the social structure of German aristocracy.
No remains of the original structure exist today, but visitors can explore other castles and fortresses in the Lake Constance region.
The site of the former castle lies within the grounds of an earlier palatinate, marking centuries of noble residences in this location.
